To furnish teachers with the teaching strategies and support needed to provide developmentally appropriate differentiated instruction that aligns with district
and state standards, in a way that teachers will integrate and apply information acquired so that students can achieve greater academic and behavioral success from their educational program. The first priority of the grant is to support new special education teachers and special education teachers who have been granted "waivers" from the Kansas State Department of Education
